CPURX News: Cyber Security Task Force & CPURX 10 Year Anniversary

2014 was a big year for CPURX, and as we wrap up the year, I wanted to highlight a couple of recent news items.

Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Creates the Cyber Security Task Force

First of all, I am pleased to announce I was chosen to participate in the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Cyber Security Task Force. Among other things, this newly created task force will sponsor events aimed at raising awareness of security issues within the business community. We hope that these events can provide businesses with some helpful ideas on how they can better protect themselves against cyber crime. It is an honor being asked to participate, and I am excited to see what the task force will come up with in the upcoming year.

CPURX 10 Year Anniversary

This year, we recently celebrated our ten year anniversary here at CPURX. It is amazing to think that the company began in the depths of a suburban basement, where working with just a single power socket I began building computers for family and friends. Needless to say, we have come a long way since then. We now have a full time staff, offer a full range of managed IT services, and work with the Chicago Board of Elections Commission, Mike Ditka’s restaurant group, and diverse clients from areas such as biotechnology, manufacturing, and the nonprofit sector.

To celebrate this exciting event, the CPURX team went out for a Christmas party, enjoying dinner from Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria in Chicago. After dinner, we headed over to Dave and Buster’s for some arcade shenanigans. Everyone had a blast, and it was a great way to celebrate the holiday season and commemorate this very special milestone in CPURX’s development.

In conclusion, I just want to say a special thank you to all of our clients, and to the hard working CPURX team. May you all have a wonderful new year, and continue to prosper in the year to come.
